Summary:

The Artificial Reefs were designed to increase the population of vulnerable fish species whilst creating sustainable fishing opportunities. The project was the first of its kind in the NT and is currently the largest bespoke reef in the Southern Hemisphere.

The project team overcame complications in supply, design and risk to create a new ecosystem.
