Summary:

When Townsville City Council reached out to us, they had a big task on their hands - getting their existing multi-storey administration building at 143 Walker Street in optimal shape for its HVAC systems. Our mechanical engineering team jumped in to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the building's existing systems, checking condition, capacity, and compliance.

The outcome? A clear path forward. We designed a robust upgrade plan that included replacing outdated chillers and air handling units, refurbishing cooling towers, and overhauling critical infrastructure like pipework, ductwork, and water pumps.

Not only did we help futureproof the building's cooling systems, but the upgrade also delivered improved energy efficiency and a more comfortable working environment for Council staff, which is essential in Townsville’s tropical climate.
